Roundabout on Virringvej
Redevelopment of the intersection between Virringvej, Sigkærgårdsvej and Tårnfalkebakken in Skanderborg into a roundabout
The project includes intersection reconstruction, rainwater management in the roundabout, and various adjustments in all four access branches, including the adjustment of the existing two-way cycle path so that it will be directed to the roundabout in the future.

The contract includes the following main works and quantities:

Clearing of existing plantings and pavements

Breaking up of approx. 1,100 m² of asphalt and unbound base layers

Removal of approximately 150 m³ of soil

Excavation of approximately 450 m³ of raw soil

Regulation and compaction of approximately 1,650 m² of roadbed

Adaptation of existing noise barriers and construction of new noise barriers

Coordination with relevant utility companies in connection with the relocation of wires and cables

Laying of approximately 100 lbm of rainwater pipes ø160 mm

Laying of approximately 225 lbm of drainage pipes in filter gravel

Cancellation of five road drainage wells and installation of eight new gutter wells and two new drainage wells

Laying of approx. 800 m³ of bottom protection and approx. 1,525 m² of SG II
-
Laying of approximately 2,900 m² of asphalt

Setting of approximately 75 lbm curbstone

Establishment of new roadway markings and restoration of road signs and three lighting masts
-
Laying out approx. 400 m² of soil on flower beds, slopes, etc. including grass seeding.
