We take sustainability beyond legal requirements
Few areas are as environmentally regulated as the construction industry. But for the Jönsson Entreprise A/S, it is not enough to meet the legal requirements. Our ambitions are greater. It is very much about thinking about it. If you do that, you will find plenty of areas where it does not cost extra to think about green construction.

Four ways we work sustainably
Save on electricity & water.
Timers on construction sites ensure that electricity is only used when we are present and working. Our green shanty towns run on electricity rather than diesel.
We think smarter.
Our employees are trained to think sustainably when renovating. This results in, among other things, less noise and dust nuisance and greatly increased recycling.
We recycle where it makes sense.
We sort at source in every conceivable segment. Even when it is not required. We would rather employ a man to sort than discard recyclable material when it is not required.
We are constantly evolving.
The Capital City prides itself on evolving with the world around us. We are therefore constantly looking for better and more sustainable solutions to benefit the sector.
Three strategic areas of focus for the Jönsson Entreprise A/S green work
As a major contributor to renovation projects, it is in our nature to work green: We would rather renovate than build new. Our ambitions for sustainability are high. And we have both green, social and economic perspectives at work.

Social sustainability
The social leg of our sustainability work is about internships and apprenticeships. With a healthy economy and a large number of skilled craftsmen employed, we see it as our duty to educate the next generation. And of course, the collective agreement conditions must be in order.

Environment and climate
Sustainable construction sites, waste sorting, reduction of resource consumption through recycling and reuse, green electricity, new forms of cooperation and partnerships with suppliers, FSC and PEFC-labeled wood, etc. We take the effort to improve ourselves and the industry we are a part of very seriously.

Economic sustainability
We believe that the more economically viable sustainability becomes, the faster the transition will be. Whenever it is possible in any way to make social and environmental sustainability merge into a higher unity with the economy, that is what we are aiming for.
Solar cells power the electricity for our sheds on construction sites
At Jönsson Entreprise A/S, we have started to proactively use solar cells on the roofs of the sheds on our construction sites.
This way, they can supply electricity for the day-to-day operation of the construction site sheds, for the benefit of our craftsmen.

We are in a constant investigative phase, where we are becoming smarter and collecting experiences. Everything that provides benefits is incorporated as permanent processes and shared with others in the industry.

Roof replacement
Roof replacement with integrated solar cells. We investigate how much of the existing building stock we recycle and how much waste there is on new built-in materials.

When replacing more than 1,000 windows, we investigated how we could recycle as much as possible from the existing windows.

Construction site layout and operation
We examine what it takes to operate a construction site in accordance with the DGNB certification scheme with a focus on profitability.

The head office
How can we make our head office more sustainable? We will not sort waste into 20 segments on the construction site without also reviewing the head office's environmental footprint with a comb.
How do we view sustainability?
We're not saying we're perfect when it comes to sustainability, but we're on a journey to become even better at working green.
We're looking at waste sorting, how we use water and electricity in construction, and we're looking at how we can recycle materials
that are suitable for that.

We install solar cells on roofs when customers want it, and we advise on how we believe construction can have a greener profile.
